About Us
Outpost for Hope is expanding education and awareness about "missing, missing persons", missing adults and children who are often lost among homeless populations, and who go unreported in the national missing persons database.
We work to empower families searching for lost loved ones, and to offer life-saving information to social service and law enforcement agencies via our Web site.
Our Lost Among the Homeless Resource Guide helps families find the resources they need to navigate the system of searching for a "missing, missing" person and to learn to reconnect with and help a loved one who returns home.

Participate in our Missing Link Landmark Research Project
Outpost for Hope is a Web-based grassroots nonprofit organization determined to make a difference, serving the United States and sometimes internationally. Since 1999, Outpost for Hope has helped families, law enforcement, forensic investigators, and others to locate hundreds of off the grid unreported "missing, missing" persons.
Our research is based on 12 years of experience, real case stories, and statistical analysis. It shows there are more than 1.6 million people including children, teens and at risk persons who are unreported as missing. They are not featured on any "Have you seen me?" postcards or listed in any official law enforcement databases.
About Our Logo
Outpost for Hope was 1 of 10 nonprofits selected out of 80 applicants to win pro bono graphic design services from Barcellona, Inc. through its annual CreateAThon event in 2004. Our logo design was derived from a Japanese character representing "truth." The Japanese character was chosen for its attributes: spirituality, strength and beauty. The colors and graphical elements of earth, sun, ocean and land support the spiritual concept of mind, body and soul. Together, these elements create the hope that our lost loved ones are out there waiting to be found. A subtle exclamation mark also reflects the organization's optimism, support and encouragement in its mission. Thank you Barcellona, Inc. for your time, talent and support to create this incredible logo and thank you Sacramento Bee for shining a bit of light on our 'win'!
